Ready for more cold? Arctic high pressure will settle over in the Twin Cities Thursday night, with low temperatures well below zero. There will be minimal wind due to the proximity of the high.
After a cold start Friday morning, clouds will increase with some light snow possible during the afternoon and evening. The weekend will be dry along with a good deal of sunshine and warming daytime temperatures.

The Arctic air mass will remain in place through Sunday, with the coldest day occurring Friday morning. Next week the region will see a surge of mild Pacific air with temperatures likely rising above freezing, according to the National Weather Service.
