Minnesota Weather: Wet Friday, Warm Weekend

Fog, light rain and cloudy skies are expected Friday followed by drier weekend weather before accumulating snow Tuesday and Wednesday.

Areas of dense fog has developed in much of western and southern Minnesota, persisting through daybreak on Friday. Visibilities will be reduced to one quarter mile or less, creating difficult driving conditions. Motorists are urged to reduce speed, use low beam headlights and allow extra space between vehicles.

Saturday

Rain likely, mainly before 11am. Cloudy, with a high near 40. East wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Saturday night

A chance of drizzle before midnight, then a slight chance of rain after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 33. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Sunday

A slight chance of rain, snow, and sleet before 9 a.m., then a slight chance of rain between 9am and 5pm, then a slight chance of rain and snow after 5 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 39. Calm wind becoming west northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
