Mother's Day Weather In Minnesota: Thunderstorms, Snow Possible
Minnesotans could see snow and thunderstorms before they celebrate Mother's Day.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Mother's Day 2020 will be memorable for its oddness. Between the new coronavirus and the promise of early May snow and thunderstorms, no one is likely to forget this holiday.
According to current forecasts, Minnesotans will get a blast of snow and rain mix overnight, between Saturday and Sunday. Some areas around Minneapolis may also see thunderstorms develop.
Temperatures will drop into the low 30s on Saturday night and Sunday morning, making a dusting of snow possible. Little accumulation is expected before temperatures warm enough to turn the precipitation into rain again.

Mother's Day should see a high of 47 degrees, with a low overnight of 31 degrees. Luckily, as Sunday transitions back into the work week, skies should be clear of clouds.
Minnesotans should expect a gradual warm up next week, with temperatures steadily rising into the mid-50s by Tuesday and Wednesday.
