Sunday Saw (By Far) the Coldest Temperatures of the Season
Clara City, Minnesota recorded the coldest temperature in the state Sunday.

Saturday and Sunday saw, by far, the coldest temperatures of the season so far. Wind chill warnings and advisories covered the entire region for most of the weekend.
The temperature at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport dropped to 35 below zero Sunday. Clara City, located in western Minnesota, recorded the coldest temperature in the state at 49 below zero, with a wind chill making it feel even colder.
Below zero temperatures will persist into Monday morning with a rapid warming trend thereafter with highs on Tuesday around the freezing mark, according to the National Weather Service.

Light snow is expected along and north of Interstate 94 on Wednesday.
