On November 11th, our Nation honors all of those who served in the U.S. military. Veterans Day is not Memorial Day, which is a tribute to military veterans who have died in service to our Nation. But due to COVID-19, we will not see the parades, speeches, and social events customarily seen on this holiday.

  1. Display the flag from your home, business, and urge others to do the same to salute our Vets.
  2. Pray for our Vets and their families.
  3. Donate to groups helping wounded warriors and their families or sponsor an "honor flight". You can make charitable donations to help veterans or programs like Wreaths Across America.
  4. Contact your local American Legion, DAV, or VFW for how you can do something in your community.
  5. You can send a card, e-mail, or give a call to a Vet, you know.
  6. Take time to learn about our Vets, read a book, or watch a movie to learn more about what they have done and are doing, protecting our freedom.

Don't let COVID 19 stop you from saying "Thank You for Your Service."
