Watch: Gophers' Incredibly Lucky Touchdown in Holiday Bowl

This Shannon Brooks touchdown catch from Mitch Leidner is about as lucky as it gets. Down 3-6 to Washington State in the third quarter of the Holiday Bowl, the Gophers needed a score.

On 3rd down, Leidner lobbed the ball into the end zone, well out of range for wide-receiver Shannon Brooks. It looked like a sure interception for the Cougars. Instead, it was touchdown:

The lucky touchdown proved the be crucial for the Gophers, who went on to beat the Cougars 17-12, making this season the first time the Gophers have won nine games in one season since 2003.
