Weekend Forecast: Milder Days, Colder Nights, Temp Drop on Sunday

Friday and Saturday will see 40-degree temperatures, which will give way to the 20s on Sunday. Snow likely on Saturday night.

TWIN CITIES, MN —The weekend will start a lot warmer than last weekend, when high temperatures were in the teens and low 20s. There will be some heavy winds on Friday. Sunday figures to be significantly colder than Saturday.

Friday: Partly sunny with a high near 43. Breezy, with a south wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph.

Friday Night: A slight chance of rain and snow before 8 p.m., then a slight chance of snow between 8 p.m. and midnight. Mostly cloudy with a low around 29. South southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 43. Southwest wind around 5 mph.

Saturday Night: A chance of rain and snow before 8pm, then snow likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 20. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north northwest in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch is possible.

Sunday: A 20 percent chance of snow before noon. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a steady temperature around 23. West northwest wind around 10 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 15. West southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
