Allison Feldman moved from Minnesota to Arizona for school. Her boyfriend found her naked and brutally beaten in her Scottsdale home.
Police in Arizona have arrested a suspect in the 2015 murder of 31-year-old Allison Feldman, a Minnesota native who graduated from Minnetonka High School in 2001 before attending the University of Arizona. Feldman's boyfriend found her naked and brutally beaten in her home on Feb. 18, 2015.
"3 years and almost 2 months after Allison's murder, the Scottsdale police department have made an arrest!!" Feldman's sister, Kathy, wrote on her Facebook page. "We found out yesterday that they had a suspect that they were working on his arrest, which they have now done."
Scottsdale police say they arrested 42-year-old Ian Mitcham based, in part, on DNA evidence. They have not yet found a link between him and Feldman.

"We are one hundred percent confident we have the right suspect," Scottsdale Assistant Police Chief Scott Popp said at a press conference. Mitcham was charged with first-degree murder.
Col. Frank Milstead of the Arizona Department of Public Safety said that using DNA found at the scene, they were able to use "familial DNA" to identify Mitcham's brother and from there, they were able to track down Mitcham.
