Conserve Water During Drought In City Of Minnetonka
Even-numbered addresses can only water on even-numbered days, odd addresses on odd-numbered days.

U.S. weather forecasters report that drought impacts are intensifying in the Upper Midwest. Those impacts include wildfire risk, water supply concerns for agriculture, municipalities, and landscaping and crop stress due to a lack of soil moisture.

In an effort to conserve our water resources, Minnetonka implements the following lawn watering restrictions between May 1 and Sept. 30 every year:
- No watering between 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Even-numbered addresses can only water on even-numbered days, odd addresses on odd-numbered days.
- Private water sources and wells can be used anytime and must be registered with the city and have a yard sign. Call 952-988-8400 to learn more and register.
- Watering new sod, seed or shrubbery can take place outside restricted times with a permit. Call 952-988-8400 to learn more and obtain a permit. Watering new sod, seed or shrubbery by hand-held hose can be done anytime.
- Penalties may be imposed for each day of violation.

- Repair or upgrade your existing irrigation system with new EPA WaterSense certified products.
- Minnetonka offers rebates for replacing broken or old irrigation controllers and sprinkler heads with new WaterSense certified products.
