An executive order by Governor Tim Walz increased restrictions for fitness centers, restaurants, bars, gatherings and more for four weeks. The City of Minnetonka will close most facilities and cancel most programming to prioritize the health and safety of our community.

Here’s how the changes impact Minnetonka, beginning Friday, Nov. 20 at 11:59 p.m. through at least Dec. 18:
- Williston Fitness Center – Closed. Members will receive detailed information.
- Minnetonka Ice Arena – Closed and all programming and events canceled.
- Recreation programming – Canceled. Registered participants will receive detailed information.
- Exceptions: Winter Farmers Market (Dec. 12), senior parking lot bingo and drive-up meal event
- Community Center – Closed and all programming canceled.
- City Hall – Remains open to the public with very limited staff. If you must come in, please make a service appointment and follow health and safety regulations. The rest of our staff continues to work and offer services remotely. Call 952-939-8200 or contact our staff via phone or email.
- Bars and restaurants – Closed except for delivery and takeout.
- Social settings, events and entertainment – No indoor or outdoor gatherings with people from other households.
Please continue to follow the state’s ”Stay Safe” and “Dial Back” plans, wear masks, social distance, wash hands and stay home if you’re sick. Your actions matter, and will help protect yourself, your family and your fellow Minnetonka residents.
