Minnetonka Encourages Coronavirus Vaccinations

Children ages 12 and older are now eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccination along with the state's entire adult population.

Minnesota’s viral transmission level of COVID-19 has now reached its lowest level since March. While more than 61 percent of Minnesotans have received at least one dose of a COVID vaccine, public health experts say more shots will be needed to protect against a surge in the pandemic.

Children ages 12 and older are now eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccination along with the state’s entire adult population.

  • Both the Hopkins and Minnetonka school districts are operating vaccination clinics, where eligible students and family member can receive the vaccine.

The City of Minnetonka continues to work with state and county leaders, as well as community partners, to provide the latest information about vaccine appointments available across the region. The state and Hennepin County both operate vaccine locator hotlines and websites that can direct people looking to get vaccinated:
