Minnetonka Publishing Company for Teens Announces Scholarship Contest

Attention Teenagers – You are just a keystroke away from winning a publication scholarship initially worth up to $3,100

(Minnetonka) - Spearheaded by published teen author Justin M. Anderson, Sigma’s Bookshelf is now accepting manuscripts written by teen writers between the ages of 12 – 19. After writing Saving Stripes, A Kitty’s Story, and selling more than 200 copies to date, Justin decided to help other teens experience the same level of success he has had. Backed by Springboard for the Arts, Justin wants to make your dreams of being a published author come true now.

Sigma’s Bookshelf Scholarship winners will receive a publishing package that includes:

$1,000 – in Project Management

Submission guidelines and requirements:

  • Book topic is your choice! Sigma’s Bookshelf promotes creativity. Selections will be based on the level of readability and creativity in the story.
  • Author must be between ages 12-19 both at the time of writing and submission.
  • Manuscript must have a minimum of 25 pages and a maximum of 400 pages.
  • A title, genre and summary of the book’s content must be included.
  • A .jpg cover must be submitted with the manuscript.
  • Save in .doc format and submit online at SigmasBookshelf.com.

Only 5 winners will be accepted from the first round of submissions. A panel of judges will review all submissions received by May 1, 2017 and winners will be announced on June 1, 2017. Winners will be contacted by telephone so please include your phone number on the submission form.
