Survived by wife of 67 years, Clarice; children Timothy (JoAnne), Mary (Steven) Lucht, Greg (Vicki), Gene (Cassie) Miller, Jr.; grandchildren Zachary, Gretchen, Lindsay, Courtney, Alex, Sarah, and Matthew; great grandchildren Drew, Eva, Hunter and Alexa; brother William (Bonnie) Miller; nieces and nephews.Â
Preceded in death by brothers Thomas and Jerry Miller.

Gene served in the U.S. Army as a Tech Sgt in WW II including 31 months in the South Pacific and in occupation duty in Japan. His outfit received a Presidential Citation in 1945. Owner of Gene Miller Meats in N. Mpls. for many years and retired from the MN Dept. of Agriculture as a supervisor. Gene was an active Legionnaire for many years holding many offices including past Commander of the North Side Legion Post #230. Gene was also a lifetime member of VFW Post #217 and the Fr. Wm Blum K of C. Council #3656. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed pheasant and deer hunting. Gene and Clarice were avid golfers and spent many winters in Arizona. Â
Interment St. Vincent Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to North Residential Hospice, C/O North Memorial Medical Center.Â
