Marilyn Hagen, 76

Marilyn Hagen, age 76, of Faribault and formerly of Kenyon and Zumbrota died on Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Faribault Care Center.

Memorial services will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 2 p.m.

Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault for one hour prior to the service on Saturday, January 26, 2013.

Marilyn, the daughter of Harry and Esther (Jordanger) Swelland was born on April 17, 1936 in Kanawha, Iowa. She married Ronald Hagen on July 18, 1981 in Faribault. She was known for her Folk Art Painting.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald; three children, Scott (and Jan) Strandemo of Stillwater, Susan (and Bill) Barsness of Kenyon and Teri Lawson of Wabasha; nine grandchildren, Kelly (and Dan) Steele, Robbi Strandemo, Jamie Strandemo, Kacey Strandemo, Molly Barsness, Amanda Barsness, Katie Barsness, John Lawson and Jesse Lawson; two sisters, Bette Jensvold of Faribault and LaVonne Sims of Placentia, CA; step children, Erik (and Jane) Hagen of Northfield, Nina (and Keith) Pumper of Northfield, Carl (and Kim) Hagen of Rochester; four step grandchildren, Nathan Hagen, Alex Pumper, Annie Pumper and Kara Hagen.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Erin Strandemo; four siblings, Orvin Swelland, Ted Swelland, Helen Bergh and Charlotte Tolzmann.
