Mary Anderson-Howie, 57

Mary Anderson-Howie, age 57 of Faribault and formerly of Dundas, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013 at the Our Lady of Peace Home in St Paul.

Funeral Services will be 7:00 pm Thursday, February 14th at the Bierman Funeral Home in Northfield. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 pm until the time of Services.

Mary Ellen Anderson-Howie was born July 20, 1955 in Northfield, daughter of Robert and Lorriane (Vogel) Anderson. She was raised in Stanton, MN and attended Randolph High School graduating in 1973. She then went to school at Rosemount Vocational School learning to become a secretary and in 1975 went to work at Sheldahls in Northfield as a secretary in the engineering department. She worked there for 27 years retiring in 2002 due to health reasons.

Mary enjoyed all types of sports, especially baseball. While working at the concession stand at the Dundas Dukes Ballpark she met David Howie who played for the Dukes. On September 19, 1991 they were united in marriage and they made their home in Dundas. They enjoyed biking, attending baseball games, going out to eat, and spending winters in Arizona and Florida.

Mary Anderson-Howie is survived by her husband David Howie of Faribault; mother Lorraine Anderson of Randolph; son Andy Howie of Northfield; sister Sue (Chuck) Cairl of White Bear Lake; brother Robert Anderson of Randolph; brother-in-law Dennis Howie of Northfield; sisters-in-law Susan Teske of Northfield and Sandy Tuomala of Faribault. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Anderson.
