Bridge Square Area In Nortfield Is Temporarily Closed From June 19 Until August 7

The City Council passed a motion to temporarily close Water Street from Bridge Square to Fourth Street to vehicular traffic and add an additional pedestrian walking area on the Fourth Street Bridge (see map) from June 19 until August 7. The Fourth Street Bridge will remain open to vehicular traffic during this closure.

With the increase use of the area, this closure will allow people to continue enjoying walking, fishing and picnicking in our downtown area and will promote social distancing practices that are currently in effect due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The City of Northfield urges motorists to always drive with caution, and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
