Don't miss "A Streetcar Named Desire" Tennessee Williams' Pulitzer Prize Winning Drama

The Northfield Arts Guild Theater is proud to present one of America's most iconic plays, "A Streetcar Named Desire", Oct 2-11.

The Northfield Arts Guild Theater is proud to present one of America’s most iconic plays, A Streetcar Named Desire. This Pulitzer Prize winning drama by Tennessee Williams is filled with love, loss and illusion. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays October 2, 3, 9 and 10 at 7:30pm and Sundays, October 4 and 11 at 2:00pm.

Winner of the 1948 Pulitzer Prize, the New York Times called Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire “a superb drama, a masterwork.” The story centers on Blanche DuBois, a delicate relic of the Old South, whose life has been blemished by her romantic delusions, an ill-fated marriage, and losing the family estate. Her brother-in-law, Stanley Kowalski is a hardened thug trying to survive in hot and steamy 1940s New Orleans. From Blanche’s immediate arrival in New Orleans, tension ensues in the Kowalski household. Considered one of the greatest scripts of all time, this drama is filled with love, loss and illusion.

A Streetcar Named Desire is directed by Tom Johnson and stars Felicia Crosby as Blanche DuBois, Rob Schanilac as Stanley Kowalski, Birch Carlson as Stella Kowalski, Brendon Etter as Mitch, Carney Gray as Steve and Russ Paladin as Paul. Also featured in the cast are Pam Bahe, Warren Balfany, Jennifer Pike, and Kate Southwick.
