Here's How Much Snow Fell In The Northfield Area
The wet snow made for a sloppy commute Friday morning throughout southern Minnesota.

NORTHFIELD, MN — According to the National Weather Service, there were 2.9 inches of new snow on the ground at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport as of 6 a.m. Friday. There were 2.6 inches of new snow at the NWS headquarters in Chanhassen.
According to an unofficial report, Northfield had 3.9 inches of new snow as of 7 a.m. Friday. Much of that may have quickly melted into slush, however. The wet snow made for a sloppy commute Friday morning throughout souther Minnesota.
Another round of light snow is set for Friday night. No more than half an inch more of snow will accumulate, NWS says.
