WATCH: Vikings Fan Speaks About Being Stabbed 7 Times in Wisconsin

No one ever said it was easy being a Minnesota Vikings fan in Green Bay Packer country, but this incident took a dangerous turn.

A Stoughton, Wisconsin, man who placed a Minnesota Vikings inflatable outside his home was reportedly stabbed seven times Sunday after confronting a man armed with a box cutter. The incident took place hours after the Vikings defeated the Houston Texans to go 5-0 on the season.

Channel3000.com reported that the Vikings fan, Dave Moschel, a father of six, said he was about to watch football Sunday night when, shortly after 7 p.m., a 21-year-old man began trying to cut up the giant inflatable Viking in his yard with a box cutter.

When Moschel confronted the man, police say he was stabbed seven times with the box cutter. The suspect has been arrested but not yet formally charged.

"He probably thought it was funny, and maybe his buddies thought it would be cool to come slice it up," Moschel said.

Moschel said he is lucky to be alive. He has no plans to take down the inflatable.

The Star Tribune reported that after the team was made aware of the incident, the Vikings invited Moschel to be their guest at a future practice and attend the Vikings game against the Arizona Cardinals on Nov. 20 at U.S. Bank Stadium.
