Northfield 2021 State Of The City Address Video Premieres March 15

Mayor Rhonda Pownell invites the entire community to watch the 2021 State of the City Address on Monday, March 15 at 6:30 p.m. from the comfort of your own home. Mayor Pownell will walk through city projects and initiatives over the past year and talk about her outlook on moving forward from a difficult year.

The program will feature City Administrator Ben Martig’s announcement of Mayor for a Day Essay Contest award recipients, Board & Commission Member Excellence Award, Living Treasure Award, Human Rights Award and Employee Excellence Award. Special guests in the program include Northfield Area Chamber of Commerce President Lisa Peterson, Library Director Natalie Draper, Police Chief Mark Elliott and others.

The program will rerun on Northfield Public Broadcasting channels 180 and 187 and on the city’s YouTube Channel throughout the year.

Community members can watch the State of the City in English and Spanish.
