Northfield Businesses Can Submit CARES Funding Application By September 30

Businesses and nonprofits with 50 or fewer employees can apply for financial support.

Northfield businesses and nonprofits may be eligible to receive a one-time emergency grant of up to $10,000. Even if they’ve received federal funding like the PPP or EIDL loan, they may be eligible to apply.

Businesses and nonprofits looking for financial relief due to COVID-19 can apply for CARES Act funding through the City of Northfield. Businesses and nonprofits with 50 or fewer employees can apply for financial support. Other criteria may apply, check the city’s website for details.

“The City of Northfield wants to help businesses and nonprofits through this economic crisis,” said Nate Carlson, the city’s economic development coordinator and the program’s administrator. “We want them to continue to deliver their much needed services throughout the entire community and retain their local jobs.”

The goals of the funding are to stabilize the local economy, stabilize households and provide social support, stimulate the local economy for recovery, and invest strategically for long-term impact.
