Northfield City Hall Commemorates 15th Anniversary of 9/11

The exhibit will commemorate the 15th anniversary of the terrorist attacks with work from local Northfield area artists​.

It may be hard to believe that it's been 15 years since the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Most middle and high school students, and many college students today have no personal memory of the event. Some weren't even born yet.

This year, Northfield City Hall is commemorating the 15th anniversary of that tragic day with an art exhibit.

The 9/11: A Fifteenth Anniversary Commemoration exhibit seeks to rediscover and understand the events and emotions of that day.

According to Northfield News, the exhibit features work from local Northfield area artists.

Local artist Don Roos's piece, “Falling Water for the Fallen,” shows the 9/11 Memorial in Manhattan, focusing on one of the waterfalls with reflecting pools built on the footprints of the destroyed Twin Towers.

Northfield City Hall is located on 801 Washington Street.
