Northfield Police Officers Ring Bell For Salvation Army
Salvation Army helps so many in the community through their many programs.
November 23, 2020
On Friday, November 20, Northfield Police officers and reservists went to Family Fare to ring the bell at the red kettle for the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army helps so many in our community through their many programs and the red kettle drive is the largest fundraiser for them for the year. The red kettle donations stay right here in our community addressing food insecurity, homelessness, addiction rehab, poverty, human trafficking, and education. Officers traded off filling a 4-hour shift and had the opportunity to say hello and thank you to many community members as they stopped into stock up for their holiday meal needs. Throughout the afternoon, the officers received many words of thanks for all they do each day in keeping our community safe, which were greatly appreciated.
