Northfield Wife, Mother Dies At 52
Friends and family described Northfield resident Melissa Blaisdell-Storlie, age 52, as loving, loyal, selfless, generous and kind.

NORTHFIELD, MN — Melissa Blaisdell-Storlie, age 52, of Northfield passed away on the evening of Saturday, July 8. Melissa's husband, daughters, and family were by her side. She died at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis as the result of an aortic tear.
"Missy" was born October 20, 1964, in Winona, Minnesota, according to her obituary published in Northfield News. She moved to Northfield in 1975 and attended Sibley Elementary. She graduated from Northfield High School in 1983 and attended St. Olaf College.
Melissa transferred to Mankato State University, where she graduated in 1988.

She returned to Northfield to work for College City Beverage and later, as an office manager at Willinger's Golf Club. Friends and family described her in her obituary as loving, loyal, selfless, intelligent, generous and kind. "She loved her family dearly and they loved her."
