Prescribed Burns For City Ponds And Natural Areas In Northfield

Prairie Restoration will be completing prescribed burns on City Stormwater Ponds on Thursday, April 22nd. During this time, we ask residents to keep their windows closed as the prescribed burns can create smoky conditions. If weather conditions and wind patterns change rapidly, Prairie Restoration will not conduct the prescribed burns and they will need to be rescheduled. The areas to be burned include the Northfield Hospital Stormwater Pond, the Target Stormwater Pond, and Prairie Hills Ponds 1 & 3.
