Sheriff: Human Skeletal Remains Found Near Vermillion River

Each week, Dakota County Sheriff Dave Bellows releases a newsletter recapping the most interesting news.

From this issue:

A trapper found human skeletal remains along the Vermillion River near the Tenth Street Bridge in Hastings last week. The DCSO, along with Hastings Police, responded to the location. The Hennepin County Medical Examiners’ Office will perform analysis to determine the identity of the individual. Thanks to Dakota County’s Special Operations Team (SOT) for assisting in protecting the site overnight. Sergeant Rick Schroeder is heading the investigation for the DCSO.
