Sheriff: Man Arrested For Shoplifting Electric Razor from Walmart

Sergeant Scott Durdall observed a man grabbing a small box from behind an electrical boxand running across General Sieben Drive and into awaiting car.

Finding this activity to be just slightly suspicious, Sergeant Durdall stopped the car and soon learned the package was an electric razor the man admitted to taking from Walmart without permission.

Even though the razor was taken back from the man, I guess you could still say he got clipped.

Recently Dan Carlson was selected as the new Emergency Preparedness Coordinator replacing the retired Dave Gisch. Dan is not new to Dakota County, with over 33 years of experience as a police officer, 24 of them as a member of the Burnsville Police Department.

Most recently Dan has worked as a private Homeland Security Consultant, specializing in emergency planning and exercises. He also holds state certification as an Emergency Manager.

Dan will begin working with the Sheriff’s Office on March 18th.
