Teen Going 96 MPH Was Still On FaceTime When Pulled Over: MSP

"The teen giggled when the trooper explained the dangers of distracted driving and speeding," the state patrol said.

NICOLLET COUNTY, MN — The Minnesota State Patrol says "selfish" and "dangerous" are two words that come to mind after hearing about a traffic stop Friday by one of their troopers on Highway 169 near St. Peter.

An 18-year-old woman sped by a trooper's squad car going 96 mph, authorities said.

When the trooper pulled her over and walked up to her car, she was still video chatting on FaceTime with the friend she was going to pick up from Minnesota State University-Mankato, according to police.
