Three Northfield Middle School Students Reach Regional Spelling Bee

Three Northfield Middle School students represented their school district at the Regional Spelling Bee held Feb. 12 in Rochester.

Hannah Pahs, Jackson Hillman and Anna Weber were among the 56 participants from within the Southeast Service Cooperative’s region.

 Eighth-grader Jackson Hillmann placed fifth and will move on to the next round on Feb. 26. Sixth-grader Anna Weber earned a spot as an alternate participant. The Grand Champion of the next round will advance to the annual Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. beginning on May 26.
