Vikings' Teddy Bridgewater Speaks To Media: Watch

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater addressed the media Thursday for the first time since his August 2016 injury.

MANKATO, MN — Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater addressed the media Thursday for the first time since his season-ending injury in August 2016. The Vikings placed Bridgewater on the Active / Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list this week.

"It's great to be back out here, it's been an eventful year for me," Bridgewater began. "Right now I'm taking it one day at a time. I can't look too far down the road, I need to live in the now."

"The biggest thing I remember is the guys out there supporting me as I was laying on the ground," he said when asked of the injury last year. "Right now I'm focusing on my overall body from head to toe and that's what's most important."

Bridgewater said being added to the PUP list gives him "more time to get healthy."

Bridgewater was placed on the injured reserve last year after he tore his ACL and suffered other structural damage at practice.
