Wind Advisory in Effect for Northfield
Northfield could experience gusts up to 50 mph on Saturday.

Northfield and Rice County are in a wind advisory from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday.
With a cold front pushing its way into the area, wind chill values could dip to minus 21 overnight and minus 29 by Sunday night.

...STRONG WINDS DEVELOPING THIS AFTERNOON... .AN ARCTIC COLD WILL PUSH ACROSS CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN MINNESOTA... AND WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN LATE THIS MORNING AND EARLY AFTERNOON. NORTHWEST WINDS IN THE WAKE OF THE FRONT WILL INCREASE TO 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH. THE WINDS WILL SLOWLY DIMINISH SATURDAY EVENING.
