Original Post:Â Not two weeks after a line of storms smashed into the Twin Cities, knocking out power to thousands, another set of thunderheads has left over 1,000 without power in the Plymouth area.
1,434 customers lost power at 8:19 a.m., according to Xcel Energy's outage map. Affected communities also include Orono, Long Lake, Wayzata and Minnetonka. For those residents and businesses, 10 a.m. is the estimated time for power to return.Â
At the west end of Lake Minnetonka, 1,148 households and businesses lost power at 7:44 a.m. That outage affected Mound, Minnetrista, Maple Plain, St. Bonifacius and Watertown. Xcel's online outage map estimated power would return by 10:34 a.m.
