City Of Plymouth Set To Host Free Drive-In Movies In August
Residents are invited to park in the parking lot and bring their own snacks and beverages.

The City of Plymouth presents free drive-in movies Thursdays Aug. 6, 13 and 20 in the parking lot of the Plymouth Creek Center, 14800 34th Ave. N. The Aug. 6 showing will be community choice – residents will vote online to select the movie.
The family-friendly movies viewings begin at dusk (approximately 8:45 p.m.).

Residents are invited to park in the parking lot and bring their own snacks and beverages. City staff will be on site to direct traffic and help facilitate parking. To encourage social distancing and promote safety, moviegoers are asked to remain in their vehicles to enjoy the show.
Portable restrooms will be available on-site, but the surfaces are not sanitized between users.
Community Choice: Vote to Choose the Movie – Thursday, Aug. 6
New this year, residents may vote to select the movie to be viewed Thursday, Aug. 6. Options include Cars, Trolls and Monsters Inc.
Voting is open July 20-27. Residents may vote on the city’s Facebook page, Twitter account or on the city's website at plymouthmn.gov/specialevents. The winning movie will be announced Tuesday, July 28.
Aladdin (2019 film) – Thursday, Aug. 13
Description: A common thief pursues the princess of Agrabah with the help of a powerful genie who can grant him three wishes. His primary opponent is a malevolent sorcerer who serves as the city’s grand vizier and the chief advisor to the Sultan. Rated PG.
The Mighty Ducks – Thursday, Aug. 20
Description: A self-centered Minnesota lawyer is sentenced to community service coaching a ragtag youth hockey team. Rated PG.
The 2020 movie sponsors include Kyle Vitense State Farm and TCF Bank. Attendees are reminded that curfew laws still apply. In the event of inclement weather, movie showings may be canceled. Call the weather hotline for more information, 763-509-5205.
