The City of Plymouth and 3rd Lair Skate Park and Skate Shop will hold a free skateboard contest Tuesday, June 15 at the Plymouth Creek Skate Park, 3625 Fernbrook Lane N. Day-of registration begins at 4 p.m., the contest begins at 5 p.m. Participants are invited to compete in their respective divisions. While there is a girls/women division, girls and women may enter any division. Divisions include: Beginner: Newer skateboarders age 12 and under

Advanced: Open to riders of all ages

Girls/Women The public is invited to watch as up to 75 participants compete in a jam-style contest. There is no cost to attend or compete, and participants must bring their own gear. The event will feature prizes, a food truck and music. Prizes will be awarded to the top three participants from each division. While the event is free, attendees should bring cash for any food truck purchases. In the event of inclement weather, cancellation notices will be announced on the Parks and Recreation Department weather hotline, 763-509-5205.
