Clue 4: 2012 Fire & Ice Festival Medallion Hunt

The clues continue for the second annual medallion hunt, happening in January before the 2012 Fire and Ice Festival on Saturday, Feb. 4.

The first clue is: Start your hunt this January morn where some have played since they were born. The elusive medallion hunt is begun so follow the clues for some wintry fun.

The second clue is: Under the lake this place is still dry; Keep on looking... don't let this prize pass you by.

The third clue is: The treasure's sparkle is found as the path splits, look up...look round but don't forget your mitts.

The fourth clue is: With this winter's mild weather, a picnic could be in order for the hearty; Other years on this sphere, snow and ice would've ruined your party.

According to the city's website:

The Parks and Recreation Department, which sponsors the , is the sponsor of the medallion hunt for Plymouth residents during the four weeks leading up to the . You do not need to register or pay to participate in the hunt -- just check out the weekly clues as they are released and conduct your search.

The finder of the medallion will take home a $250 Visa gift card. You can also get the clues by phone on the Recreation Leisure Line at 763-509-5213.

Medallion Hunt Rules

  • Only Plymouth residents are eligible to participate in the medallion hunt.
  • Only one medallion will be hidden, and it will be hidden on City of Plymouth property.
  • The medallion will be above ground, and part of it will be in plain view (the medallion will not be buried!).
  • Each clue builds upon those given in the previous weeks.
  • Once the medallion is found, the person who finds it must contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 763-509-5200 to verify the finding. Upon verification, the Parks and Recreation Department will announce that the medallion has been found on both the city website and the Recreation Leisure Line.
  • The prize for finding the medallion will be awarded at the Fire and Ice Festival on Feb. 4. To claim the prize, the winner must bring the medallion to the main stage at 5:30pm.
  • All Plymouth residents are eligible to play except those employed by the City of Plymouth and their immediate family members.
