County Road 101 Bridge Over Highway 12 To Close

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced that the County Road 101 bridge over Highway 12 is set to close June 28.

From the City of Plymouth: The Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced that the County Road 101 (Central Avenue) bridge over Highway 12 is set to close at 10 p.m. Friday, June 28.

The bridge will remain closed for approximately four months, through fall 2019, while crews remove and replace the bridge deck.

Detour Route
Traffic will be detoured using County Road 6, Vicksburg Lane N., Gleason Lake Road and Wayzata Boulevard.

Motorists should use the posted detour route – and avoid using local streets, which are not designed for high volumes of traffic.

Weekend Closure of Highway 12

Highway 12 will also be closed over the weekend to allow crews to take down parts of the bridge. Highway 12 will be closed at the bridge ramps from 10 p.m. Friday, June 28 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 1. Motorists on Highway 12 will be detoured up and back down the ramps.

Ramps Closed Beginning July 2

Ramps are set to close for construction beginning Tuesday, July 2.

Ramps closed July 2-Aug. 12:

  • The ramp from westbound Highway 12 to northbound County Road 101
  • The ramp from northbound County Road 101 to eastbound Highway 12

Ramps closed July 2-Oct. 25:

  • The ramp from westbound Highway 12 to southbound County Road 101
  • The ramp from eastbound Highway 12 to southbound County Road 101
