East Medicine Lake Beach Area Rehabilitation Proposal

Plymouth Citizens,

Attached you will find a new vision for the rehabilitation of the East Medicine Lake Park Beach Area. This plan is called Medicine Lake 365 and would set a precedent for other parks in Plymouth. I know the plan from the Park and Recreation Department is schedule for a vote this coming Tuesday. The proposed plan is fundamentally different in that it allows for year round use and would set a precedent for present and future parks in Plymouth. I have engaged many residents and citizens at the park and surrounding neighborhood which has helped me with the ideas for this plan.

The City of Roseville has implemented a similar park redevelopment with six new buildings to great success and a great model for this. You can see this at: http://mn-roseville2.civicplus.com/2804/Park-Buildings

I am urging that the current plan to be voted on be abandoned or postponed in favor of a plan that will set a new precedent and create a lasting Legacy for the City of Plymouth.
