Falcon View Connections Academy Recognizes Plymouth Student

Marielle Sossou of Plymouth, was recently named one of Falcon View Connections Academy’s (FVCA) Students of the Month in recognition of her achievements and leadership in the virtual classroom.

Marielle, a seventh grader at the statewide online school was nominated by her teacher, Mrs. Challakere, in recognition of her hard work and outstanding support for others in her community. As a Student of the Month, Marielle will be presented a certificate of achievement, recognized in the school’s monthly newsletter, and featured on the school’s social media platforms. Each month during the school year, FVCA will recognize students in grades K through 12.

“Our students of the month demonstrate leadership and an extraordinary commitment to learning while serving as strong role models for their peers,” said Anne Wasmund, Falcon View Connections Academy Principal. “The members of our faculty and staff are proud to give these virtual classroom leaders the recognition they each deserve.”

Marielle came to Falcon View Connections Academy in 2019 in search of more course options and a more individualized academic environment. According to Marielle, her transition to the virtual classroom was smooth and she found learning online helps her to be more organized and independent.

Outside of the classroom, Marielle is very busy with her hobbies such as photography, painting, drawing, reading, as well as dancing and singing. She also volunteers her time by sharing encouraging messages with others through personal visits or writing letters. “The flexibility with an online school helps with those activities,” Marielle said.
