Grants For Small Businesses And Nonprofits Available In Plymouth

Hennepin County is offering $24.6 million in relief grants to small businesses and nonprofits that have suffered economic hardship.

Hennepin County is offering $24.6 million in relief grants to small businesses and nonprofits that have suffered economic hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The application window closes at noon Thursday, Jan. 14.

Grant recipients are chosen by Hennepin County via lottery. Eligible businesses and nonprofits can apply for grant amounts as follows:

  • Sole proprietors with a physical commercial location and no W-2 employees: $10,000
  • Home-based businesses with W-2 employees: $10,000
  • Organizations with a commercial location and W-2 employees, other than an owner: $15,000

Businesses that received a previous small business relief grant from Hennepin County are eligible to apply for additional funding this round.

Businesses that applied to Hennepin County’s Small Business Relief Fund round for restaurants, bars, gyms and entertainment venues (Round 4) that closed on Dec. 1 will be automatically considered for funding and do not need to reapply.

The application window closes at noon Thursday, Jan. 14.
