Plymouth Drop-Off Day Set For April 23-24
Residents are asked to wear masks while interacting with city staff and volunteers during the event.

For more efficient service and reduced wait times, the 2021 Drop-Off Day will feature a new two-day format at the Plymouth Maintenance Facility, 14900 23rd Ave. N.

- 3-7 p.m. Friday, April 23 – Free items only
- 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 24 – Free and pay items
The event provides an opportunity for residents to declutter and get rid of unwanted items. For a list of accepted items for each day, visit plymouthmn.gov/dropoff.
The event is for Plymouth residents only – identification for proof of residency is required. Residents are asked to wear masks while interacting with city staff and volunteers during the event.

Free Items Only Friday, April 23
Only free items will be accepted Friday, April 23 – all other items will be turned away. Free items include bicycles and bicycle parts, textiles and home goods, paper to shred, light bulbs and household batteries.
Cost, Prepayment for Saturday, April 24
Participants will be routed into two lines on Saturday, April 24 – one for free items only, and one for pay and free items. For participants with pay items, cost is per-vehicle, per-trip:
- $20 per vehicle
- $40 per vehicle with a trailer – maximum length is 40 feet (vehicle plus trailer)
- $200 for box trucks/moving trucks – maximum length is 25 feet
Items accepted in the pay line include tires, scrap metal, mattresses and box springs, vehicle batteries, electronics, appliances, bulky items, remodeling material and construction debris.
Residents may prepay online, which may save time waiting in line, or pay at the event via credit card or cash (exact cash preferred for cash payments). To prepay online, visit plymouthmn.gov/dropoff.
Entering the Site
Vehicles should enter on 23rd Avenue from Fernbrook Lane only – as 23rd Avenue will be a temporary one-way street. To view a traffic flow map for the event, visit plymouthmn.gov/dropoff.
Due to the popularity of the event, average wait time is between 45-120 minutes. The site will close to all vehicles not in line by 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 24.
For safety reasons, residents are asked to remain in their vehicles while at the site.

The Plymouth Yard Waste and Recycling Drop-Off sites will be closed April 23-24.
