Plymouth Man Earns All-Region Honors At Augsburg
Peter Loyd, Augsburg College men's soccer defender, was recently named to the ational Soccer Coaches Association of America Division III All-North Region Team as a second-team honoree.

For the second year in a row, Peter Loyd of Plymouth has earned all-region honors after earning.
Thealum earned third-team honors last year.
Loyd, the Augsburg College men's soccer defender was also named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division III All-North Region Team as a second-team honoree.

Loyd also earned All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors in November. Loyd earned all-conference honors for the fourth straight year -- All-MIAC honors in 2011, 2010 and 2009, and All-MIAC honorable-mention honors in 2008.
Loyd had the highest-scoring year of his career in 2011, scoring three goals with two assists for eight points. He started every game and appeared in a team-high 1,543 minutes of the team's 1,680 played this season (91.8 percent).

Starting 79 of Augsburg's 80 games in his four years, Loyd was the anchor of a defense that surrendered just 58 goals (0.69 goals-against-average) in his career, with 42 shutouts. Loyd finished his career with nine goals and three assists for 21 points.
