Plymouth P.D. Blotter: Defecation in Park, Smashed Windows and Vodka Thief

The following are a selection of notable incidents responded to by Plymouth police officers between Feb. 21 and Feb. 27. Not intended to be a comprehensive log of activity.
Indecent Exposure:
A woman called police just after 4 p.m. Feb. 25 after she said a male exposed his buttocks toward her while she was walking in the park near Dallas Lane. Nothing was said, and the reporting party said she kept walking. It was later found the male had defecated.

Burglary (commercial):
A business on the 10000 block of Hwy. 55 reported to police just before 10 a.m. Feb. 26 that an unknown suspect entered the business and took four laptops, a cell phone and bottle of vodka. Loss is estimated at about $1,400 dollars, and the case remains under investigation.

Burglary (residential):
A woman reported her vehicle was entered Feb. 22 while it was parked in an underground garage on the 14000 block of 34th Avenue North. Two iPads, a GPS and cell phone charger—cumulatively valued at around $800—were stolen.
Controlled substance:
A 29-year-old male from New Hope was cited for marijuana possession after police found him passed out in a vehicle parked on the 3400 block of Vicksburg Lane on the afternoon of Feb. 23.
A 20-year-old male from Brooklyn Park was cited for marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia Feb. 21 after police were called to a location on the 15000 block of 37th Avenue just after 12:30 a.m. A resident had reported a suspicious vehicle parked in a lot, and officers detected the strong odor of marijuana upon making contact with the individual.
A 21-year-old male from Crystal was cited for possession of both marijuana and drug paraphernalia just before 11:30 p.m. Feb. 27 following a routine traffic stop near the intersection of Rockford Road and Vinewood Lane.
Theft:
An iPad was stolen Feb. 22 out of a gym locker on the 12000 block of Ridgemount Avenue. Loss is estimated at $400.
Theft of a boy’s cell phone from a locker room was reported on Peony Lane Feb. 25.
Shoes and a ring were reported stolen from an unlocked gym locker on the 10000 block of 36th Avenue. Loss is estimated at $500.
Theft of a school-issued iPad occurred during school hours Feb. 25 at Wayzata High School. The case is under investigation.
A student has his iPod stolen while in school. A possible suspect has been located. The incident occurred Feb. 21 on the 10000 block of 36th Avenue.
A female was shopping on the 3500 block of Vicksburg Lane Feb. 26 when she reported an unknown suspect took her purse from a shopping cart when she was not looking. Loss is estimated at $50.
Criminal Damage to Property:
Police were sent to Plymouth Middle School just before 8:30 a.m. Feb. 26 after receiving reports that a book bag had been damaged. No additional information is available.
A vehicle parked in a ramp on the 3100 block of Campus Drive had its windows smashed on the morning of Feb. 27. No items were reported missing. Damage estimates were not available.
A mailbox was reported smashed with a baseball bat Feb. 23 on the 17000 block of 12th Avenue. Damage estimates are approximately $26.
A mailbox was reported damaged Feb. 23 on the 18000 block of 9th Avenue North. Damage is estimated at $200.
An unknown suspect slashed two tires on a vehicle parked on the 3500 block of Xenium Lane Feb. 25. Damage estimates were placed in the area of $200.
DWI:
A 41-year-old male from Coon Rapids was arrested just before 11 p.m. Feb. 22 after police stopped him leaving a location where a caller reported he was not wanted. Officers located the man near the intersection of Hwy. 494 and Hwy. 55 and detected a strong odor of alcohol. He was released pending blood tests.
A 23-year-old male from Coon Rapids was arrested just before 6 a.m. Feb. 25 on the 4900 block of Peony Lane after police responded to a call of a man walking around a parking lot after his vehicle became stuck in a snow bank.
Fraud:
An unidentified victim’s personal information was reportedly used to open a credit card on which $5,452 was charged. Police received the report on the 5600 block of Trenton Lane.
An unidentified party on the 18000 block of 23rd Avenue North reported a pair of unauthorized charges on their credit card Feb. 26. Loss is estimated at about $285.
A party on the 6100 block of Dallas Lane North reported his debit card number had been used to make purchases in Georgia totaling $162. The report was received Feb. 25.
Police responded to a fraud report on the 10000 block of Hwy. 55 after a victim reported her social security number had been used to open several insurance policies. The report was received. Feb. 25.
Harassment:
A woman on the 2700 block of Upland Lane reported Feb. 21 that she had been receiving unwanted telephone calls from an old acquaintance.
A resident on the 3400 block of Plymouth Boulevard requested police respond to her home after she received harassing phone calls.
