Plymouth P.D. Blotter: Prostitution Investigation, School Fight and a .31 Breathalyzer

The following are a selection of notable incidents responded to by the Plymouth Police Department between April 11 and April 17. Not intended to be a comprehensive log of activity.

DWI

Officers received a report of a drunk driver around 6 p.m. April 15 and located the vehicle in question near the intersection of Niagara Lane North and 21st Avenue North. A 42-year-old woman from Plymouth was arrested for DWI after field sobriety tests indicated a blood alcohol level of .31—nearly four times the legal limit.

Prostitution

Officers investigating prostitution activity at a hotel on the 2600 block of Annapolis Lane arrested a 26-year-old man from Hopkins April 13 for providing false information to police and active bench warrants. Two additional suspects were trespassed from the hotel.

Burglary

Two bicycles were reported stolen April 17 from an underground garage on the 5200 block of Annapolis Lane. Loss is estimated at $1,600.

Controlled Substance

A search warrant was executed at a location on the 15500 block of 26th Avenue North just before 3 p.m. April 16. A 38-year-old female from Plymouth was arrested on controlled substance charges.

A 16-year-old juvenile was cited April 12 for marijuana following a routine traffic stop near the intersection of 46th Avenue North and Zachary Lane. The citation was issued just after 10:30 p.m.

Counterfeit

Use of a counterfeit $5 was reported at a location on the 10900 block of 34th Avenue North just before 6:30 a.m. April 17.

Criminal Damage to Property

The rear window of a vehicle parked on the 17400 block of 34th Avenue North was smashed April 17. Damage estimates are unknown.

A fight on school property April 17 resulted in citations being issued to four juveniles, two 15 year olds and two 16 year olds, for fighting on school property.

Domestic Assault

A 47-year-old Plymouth man was arrested April 14 on the 15600 block of 60th Avenue North following an altercation on the property. The suspect was charged with 9-1-1 interference and fifth-degree domestic assault.

Theft from a Vehicle

Unknown suspects damaged locks to gain entry to several work vans and stole tools valued at approximately $4,500 from a location on the 13300 block of Industrial Park Boulevard. The thefts were reported April 14.

Multiple vehicles parked on the 13300 block of Industrial Park Boulevard were broken into overnight, and tools valued at more than $2,000 were reported stolen.

Order Violation

A 26-year-old male from Fredrick, WI, was arrested April 14 on the 4500 block of Nathan Lane North for violation of a no contact order.

Theft

Tools and other items valued at approximately $900 were stolen from a vehicle on the 12900 block of Hwy. 55 April 17. Access to the vehicle was gained by punching in a rear door lock.

A tow dolly valued at $1,800 was stolen April 17 from a business on the 3500 block of Hwy. 169.

Numerous mailboxes were reported pried open April 16 on the 3300 block of Harbor Lane North. Mail was stolen from the boxes as well.

Officers responded to a theft of $1,000 in cash from a victim’s purse April 11. The incident occurred on the 10700 block of Rockford Road.

A student reported his backpack stolen after school April 12. Another student ws later observed with the backpack and cited for theft.
