A teacher at Providence Academy was fired after sending inappropriate emails to female students.
KSTP.com reported that the Plymouth police department was notified of the situation Wednesday afternoon.
KARE reported that Providence Academy headmaster Todd Flanders issued this statement to media:
Earlier this week, we were made aware of a teacher who was sending inappropriate emails to several female students. We do not tolerate this behavior, and upon learning of it took immediate action. The teacher has been terminated and we are working with authorities while they investigate. The safety of our children is our first priority. We ask for your prayers for all those affected by this situation and for our community.
Flanders wrote a letter to parents of students who attend the K-12 school about the situation, KARE reported. The letter stated that the matter had been turned over to the Plymouth police department. The entire letter to parents can be read here.
