POLL: Plymouth's Select Comfort Pulls Radio Ad
Company pulled its advertising from the Rush Limbaugh radio show.
Headquarted in Plymouth, the Select Comfort Corporation, known for its Sleep Number beds, is one of at least two companies that recently pulled its advertising from the Rush Limbaugh radio show.
According to MSNBC, Limbaugh made remarks after hearing a Georgetown University law student speak out during the current birth control debate.
The female law student, Sandra Fluke, testified before the House committee in Washington, D.C., last week about the cost of birth control and what kind of burden that places on women. She had been barred from an earlier Congressional committee hearing on the topic.

"It costs a female student $3,000 to have protected sex over the course of her three-year stint in law school, according to her calculations," Fluke said.
Limbaugh called the woman a "slut" and a "prostitute." on his radio show last week.

Select Comfort Spokeswoman Gabby Nelson responded to Plymouth MN Patch on inquires about pulling the advertising from Limbaugh's show.'
"Due to recent commentary by Rush Limbaugh that does not align with our values, we’ve made the decision to immediately suspend all advertising on that program," Nelson said.
