Today: Something for Everyone at Plymouth Yard and Garden Expo
Looking for a different date night? How about some advice or ideas about landscaping and home remodeling? There will be exotic bugs for the kids to check out, a huge plant sale and an artists' reception as well.

Gather up your landscaping and home remodeling dreams and share them with experts who can help make them come true. Find dozens of these experts at the Plymouth Yard & Garden Expo on Friday., April 12 from 6–9 p.m., and Saturday, April 13 from 9 a.m.– 1 p.m. at the Plymouth Creek Center Fieldhouse.
Admission is $5. Youth under 16 are free.Â

Meet award winning landscape professionals who can guide you through the mysteries of design, plant selection and budgeting. Lawn, garden and home service providers will be on hand with solutions to problems that range from small to overwhelming. Get help choosing stunning, vigorous plants right from the people who grow them.Â

Make it a Date on Friday NightÂ
Whether it’s a twosome or the whole family, Friday evening at the Plymouth Creek Center and Fieldhouse has all the makings of a special night out. Stroll through the flower-filled Expo, sample free chocolate treats and browse the indoor farmers market.Â

Give the kids a chance to jump and shout in the kids’ fun area, filled with activities and inflatables. Meet Dr. Bruce (the Bug Guy) Giebink and his assortment of exotic and familiar insects. Giebink will have his amazing creatures on display on Friday and will be on hand to sign his newly released book, Minnesota Bug Hunt.Â

Take some time to build a bouquet of fresh flowers for just $10 before heading upstairs to join the Primavera artists’ reception. Meet the artists, vote for your favorite work of art and indulge in a free piece of cake as part of the celebration.Â

You won’t have to worry about dinner. The Lookout food truck will be parked outside throughout the event on Friday and Saturday.Â

Huge Plant SaleÂ
When the doors close on the Expo at 1 p.m. on Saturday, get ready for the huge plant sale. Many of the stunning trees, flowers and plants that decorate the fieldhouse go on sale after the event.Â
