Easter Brunches 2013 Roseville Style
From Axel's Charhouse to Old Country Buffet, Roseville-area restaurants will be feeding thousands.

On the menu for Easter Sunday in Roseville: big brunches.
Take Axel's Charhouse, which is attached to the Radisson Hotel of Roseville. The full-service restaurant is expecting upwards of 1,000 people to pass through its doors for its Easter buffet, which includes seafood, breads, cheeses, eggs, omelettes, fruits, turkey, lamb and prime rib, said Jon Fehrmann, assistant general manager of Axel's.Â
Depending on your age, the buffet prices range from free for kids age 5 and under to $29.95 for adults.

Other Roseville restaurants are also gearing up for a big Easter.
At Old Country Buffet, service manager Matt Elsmore said he expects Easter Sunday dinner to attract upwards of 1,700 people, a substantial increase from a typical Sunday where the restaurant serves about 1,200 people.

"Easter and Mother's Day are the Super Bowl of the year for us," he said.
Old Country Buffet offers a $7.49 breakfast for adults until 11 a.m. Sunday, then Easter brunch/dinner afterwards for $11.99. Â Featured foods include Belgian waffles, made-to-order omelettes, butterfly shrimp, turkey, pot roast, meatlof and carved ham.Â
Meanwhile, Chianti Grill, a restaurant near HarMar Mall, has about 75 percent of seating devoted to reservations for its Sunday brunch which has expanded hours and offerings on Easter, said Court Winjum, restaurant director of operations. He said Chianti Grill will have Easter brunch from 9 a.m. to 3 p..m., one hour later than a typical Sunday. .
Chianti Grill's Easter brunch will have more offerings within each food category with menu items including omelettes, waffles, pasta, vegetables, prime rib, carved ham and an extended assortment of desserts. The cost is $18.95 for adults, $8.95 for children age 12 and under with no charge for infants, Winjum said.Â
A few other restaurants in Roseville will be also offering Easter brunches. They include Granite City Food & Brewery and Keys Cafe and Bakery (which will be open from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.).
That local restaurants are gearing up for Easter brunches and dinners is no surprise. The National Restaurant Association is estimating that 33 million people will elebrate the Easter holiday by dining out.
The trade group said lunch and dinner are the most popular meals for Easter celebrations, and when it comes to must-have food, more than half of consumers said they would be looking for an Easter buffet.Â
Buffets are a popular option for Easter diners because they provide a variety of food options to fit anyone’s dietary needs and preferences, according to association officials. Â
