MnDOT, State Patrol Seeking Info on Driver who Injured Road Construction Worker
The traffic incident occurred Wednesday evening on eastbound I-694 near Long Lake Road exit.

Officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and the Minnesota State Patrol today are asking for the public's help in finding the driver of a vehicle that struck and injured a highway construction worker Wednesday night. Â
The incident occurred  shortly beforee  10 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 21) on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 694, west of the ramp from the interstate to Long Lake Road, state officials said.

- "The vehicle, identified as a black Honda sedan, was driving in the lane closure from at least Silver Lake Road when it struck a worker saw cutting concrete as part of the concrete pavement repair project underway on the interstate.Â
- After striking the worker, the car continued driving and exited the closed ramp to Long Lake Road while dodging barricades, saws and other equipment. At the top of the ramp, the car crossed the grass median to drive around barricades and turned right onto Long Lake Road. The vehicle sustained extensive damage to the front end."
