Roseville Residents Can Recycle Christmas Tree

You can dispose of natural trees, for free at a Ramsey County Yard Waste Site.

The holidays will soon be over and it’ll be time to take down the decorations. But what do you do with your natural Christmas tree? You can dispose of natural trees, for free at a Ramsey County Yard Waste Site.

Remove all decorations, tinsel, lights, and tree bags. Flocked trees and wire wreaths are not accepted and should be placed in the trash. Collection sites are open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays and 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays through March.

Throughout the month of January, trees can also be taken to the SKB Environmental Disposal at 630 Malcolm Ave. in Minneapolis (Highway 280 and University Ave.). They're open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Call 612-331-4610 for directions, pricing and additional information.

You can also arrange a special pick up with your trash hauler. Another alternative is to rent or borrow a chipper. Mulch your tree and use it in the garden or share the woodchips with a fellow gardener.
