St. Patrick's Day 2013: Where To Celebrate in Roseville

There are plenty of places to show off the wearin' of the green.

 

When it comes to celebrating St. Patrick's Day, Roseville has the luck of the Irish.  

With St. Paddy's Day falling on Sunday, some places started festivities on Saturday.

Among the many venues is Roseville VFW Post 7555, which was voted by Patch readers in 2012 as the Best Place in Roseville to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

VFW Post 7555 will be serving corned beef dinners starting at 11 a.m. today (Sunday). (Irish food was served earlier today). It will also be holding a "pot of gold" contest and best Irish look contest. The club is also selling Guinness beer.

The Post's St. Patrick's Day festivities go back at least 18 years.

There also is plenty of Irish action at Joe Senser's Sports Grill & Bar.  

"We have our homemade Irish Mulligan stew,  a half reuben sandwich stew, our reuben basket and our slow cooked corned beef and cabbage dinner," said Tom Horwath, general manager of Senser's Roseville restauarnt. "Along with those, we have Guinness, Harp and Smithwicks on tap for Irish beers this weekend." 

Another popular place for the eatin' and drinkin' of the green is Grumpy's Bar and Grill. 

Grumpy's festivities for St. Patrick's Day include Irish fare, from Guiness stew and soda bread to corned beef and cabbage.
